I took this design inspiration from a screenshot of the 'evolution of DA's new logo' video that deviantART released. 33.media.tumblr.com/4ceb0ff6da…
It was from this design that the new DA logo (which makes no sense) came to be. You can actually tell where the parts were chopped off to make the new logo.
Anyways, this would've made much more sense as to a newly, updated, modern look to the logo of deviantART.
